The City of Raleigh, joined by state and federal officials, has broken ground to formally begin construction of a state-of-the-art transit operations center. The transit operations center will be located on 23 acres at 4104 Poole Road. Construction is scheduled to be complete in the spring 2011.
The City is now providing curbside collection of cooking oil and grease in a pilot program designed to help prevent sewer overflows. Residents can now dispose of these products by leaving them at the curb along with their garbage, recycling and yard waste. The effort will continue until January 15.
