Urban Design Experts To Appear At Community Conversations Series
Two national experts in urban design, historic preservation and economics will be the guest speakers at the next Community Conversations event sponsored by the Raleigh Historic Districts Commission.
Donovan Rypkema and Pratt Cassity will speak on Monday, Sept. 22 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Long View Center, located at 118 S. Person St. They will discuss how Raleigh’s priorities for community design and preservation affect the city’s economic future. Mr. Rypkema is principal of Place Economics, a Washington, D.C.-based real estate and economic development consulting firm. Mr. Cassity is with the University of Georgia’s Center for Community Design and Preservation.
