Fair Housing Hearing Board's Tenants' Rights Handbook Out Sept. 9
The City of Raleigh Fair Housing Hearing Board is publishing a handbook on tenants’ rights. The board is having a press conference on Tuesday, Sept. 9 to formally announce the handbook, entitled “Tenants’ Rights and Obligations.” The press conference begins at 10 a.m. in Room 114 (1st Floor Programming Room) of the Cameron Village Regional Library.
To produce the handbook, the Fair Housing Hearing Board worked with the City of Raleigh Community Services Department, Legal Aid of North Carolina, the North Carolina Justice Center and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Members of these partnering agencies will attend the press conference.
Beginning on Sept. 9, the handbook will be available at several locations in the community, including all Wake County public libraries. Additionally, the Cameron Village Regional Library, the North Regional Library, and the Richard B. Harrison Library will have a copy of the handbook available in Braille for public use.
