City Council Sets Budget Approval Schedule
The City Council approved the following schedule for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2009-2010:

Jan. 6, 2009: 7:00 p.m., City Council’s pre budget hearing;

March 16, 2009: City Council budget workshop;
- May 19, 2009: City Manager J. Russell Allen’s presentation of the proposed operating budget and proposed Capital Improvement Program for FY 2009-2010;
-
June 2, 2009: 7:00 p.m. statutory public hearing on budget proposals; and,
-
June 3 – June 30, 2009: City Council budget workshops (schedule to be determined).
All meetings will be in the council chamber of the Avery C. Upchurch Government Complex, 222 W. Hargett St.
Adoption of the annual operating budget for FY2009-2010 and the City’s Capital Improvement Program are required no later than July 1, 2009. The City of Raleigh’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.
