Help Catch A Criminal
The Raleigh Police Department is attempting to identify and arrest the suspect seen in the video shown below.
At about 9:45 a.m. on May 24, the suspect entered the Capital Food Mart at 2929 Capital Blvd. As seen in the video, he first browsed the store as though he was shopping. He was wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white sneakers, and wore sunglasses with red or orange frames.
Then the suspect moved behind the counter and held the clerk at gunpoint as he demanded money. He was last seen fleeing on foot in a southerly direction. The suspect is a black male with an athletic build who stands about 6 feet tall.
Anyone with information that might assist the investigation of the case is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at (919) 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 226-CRIME.
