City Council Approves Agreement For Edwards Mill Road Greenway Connector
The Raleigh City Council has approved an agreement with the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) for construction of the Edwards Mill Road Greenway connector.
The NCDOT will build a 1.3 mile multi-purpose trail along Edwards Mill Road from Reedy Creek Road to Trinity Road. The path is designated as a connector in the Capital Area Greenway master plan. Approximately 490 linear feet of eight feet wide sidewalk and approximately 50 feet of safety fencing will be constructed along Tryon Road and RBC Center Road. The sidewalk and fencing portion are funded by the City of Raleigh.
The City of Raleigh will assume maintenance of the greenway connector after construction is completed.
