Performance Measures

The Budget and Evaluation Division produces annual Performance Indicators Reports on data about the Triangle region, the City of Raleigh, and performance indicators for city departments. It is produced as part of the City’s on-going efforts to monitor cost and quality of municipal services.  It is used to monitor City trends in cost and performance from year to year, which provides the ability to identify those actions that improve both cost containment and quality of service.

The Division also coordinates the City of Raleigh’s participation in the North Carolina Local Government Performance Measurement Project, a statewide effort sponsored by the North Carolina School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This project measures how well city departments perform specific services and at what cost.
