Position Title: Treatment Plant Operator
Position Number: 184-09

Salary Range: $33,490 - $54,735
Department: Public Utilities
Division: Water Plant

Minimum Requirements:    High School graduate or equivalent and 1 year of acceptable experience, or college graduate with at least 12 semester hours in the physical or natural sciences and have 3 months of acceptable or 6 months of acceptable experience while holding a Grade C-Surface Certificate. Must be able to work rotating shifts.   A Valid NC Class "A" Commercial  Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire. Must be able to obtain certification within 2 years of hire date.

Salary Range: $
30,377 - $ 47,282 without Certification,  $33,490 -$54,735 with Certification

Position Duties:  Operates and maintains equipment such as dewatering press, pumps conveyor systems, air compressors and electric motors; performs standard physical and chemical control test for process control; collects samples for lab analysis.
