Position Title: Recreation Program Manager, (Teen Program)

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation Management or related field. Must have experience working with teenagers ranging in age from middle to high school. Must have supervisory experience. Ability to plan, implement, supervise and direct a benefits based recreation program for teenagers with at least fours of experience. Must have knowledge of current information on teen programs and trends. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Grant writing experience and strategic planning is required. Must have adequate computer skills and agree to take job related training. Must have the ability to obtain a city driving permit. A valid NC Driver's license is required. 

Position Duties:  Program development, implementation, supervision, grant writing, gang awareness and prevention training and evaluation of programs including at risk youth programs. Supervision of the Teen Outreach Program, middle school and high school initiatives through the school year, five summer camp sites, special events, recreational, social, fitness and educational programs. Implement prevention programs through recreational services. Facilitate training for both full and part time staff. Supervises numerous sites during late afternoon, evening hours, and summer months. Receives supervision from the Recreation Program Director. Hiring and supervising up to 20 part time staff and volunteers. Night and weekend work required. Performs other duties as required.
