Background:

  • The City's design team developed three alternatives for public meetings held October 14, 15 and 16, 2003. 
  • On November 5, the City Council received a report that identified a preferred alternative.  
  • Public meetings were held at the Urban Design Center on November 18.
  • A general public meeting on the preferred alternative was held on December 2 at the City Council Meeting.
  • A general public meeting on the preferred alternative was held January 6, 2004 at the City Council Meeting
  • The Council agreed to have a subcommittee review the design Jan. 15 and make a recommendation to the full Council Jan. 20
  • City Council approved the schematic design for Fayetteville St. on January 20, 2004
