Urban Ministries of Wake County
Community Enhancement Program
Awards in 2006 & 2007
Urban Ministries recently celebrated their move to their new facility on Capital Blvd. In the move from Seamart Drive to Capital Blvd they upgraded all of the services they supply, on a daily basis, to families in need. Expanded clinics, pharmacy, and food pantry programs are possible because of the areas rehabilitated in the building.
The City played a part in the upgrades by providing money to purchase and install the new commercial freezer and refrigerator along with the pallet shelving and lift system in the food pantry. The City is happy to help Urban Ministries meet their goal of providing more and better nutritious food to the families who seek help from the food pantry.
