Swimming Pools

The City of Raleigh operates three year-round swimming facilities (Optimist is currently closed for renovations) and five seasonal pools.  This page contains information about these facilities (hours of operation, dates closed, rates, and rules).

The City of Raleigh is currently conducting a comprehensive Aquatic Study.  The study shall assess both the quantity and quality of aquatic leisure services and opportunities provided by the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department and should include a local inventory and analysis of existing public and private pools; a market and demographic analysis; a needs assessment; analysis of spatial distribution of aquatic facilities; costs; and recommended implementation and prioritization of the results.  For more information please use the links below:
