Park Bonds

On October 9, 2007, City of Raleigh citizens approved an $88.6 million bond issue for parks and greenway improvements. Projects in the 2007 bond program focus on greenway development, park land acquisition, facility upgrades, expansion of existing facilities, new park development and redevelopment of older park facilities.

On Oct. 7, 2003, City of Raleigh citizens voted in favor of the Parks and Greenways Bond referendum.  This gave the city the authority to borrow up to $47.25 million for parks, greenway and recreation facilities.
