Engineering Inspections

The Engineering Inspections Division provides inspection services of construction within public rights of way for city funded projects and private developmental projects to assure conformance with city standards and specifications.  Work involves the construction of streets, water, sewer, storm drainage systems, sidewalks and driveways.

Engineering Inspections has two divisions, Contract Inspections and Subdivision Inspections.

• Contract Inspections – Inspects public funded projects to assure work is in conformance with the approved plans and specifications.  The inspector maintains records to account for all monies expended on each project.

• Subdivision Inspections – Inspects private developmental projects funded by a developer to assure work is in conformance with city standards and specifications.  Projects consist of residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, shopping centers and commercial properties.
