The Urban Forestry Division is part of the Parks and Recreation Department. We have proudly made the City of Raleigh a Tree City USA for 20 years! Urban Forestry ensures that we remain “The City of Oaks” by managing existing trees and re-planting the next generation.
Our Mission:
The mission of the City of Raleigh Urban Forestry Division is to manage trees to provide for public safety and long term sustainability. We strive to enhance the health and appearance of Raleigh’s urban forest by providing the best service possible in a safe, professional, and efficient manner for all citizens.
